About our Principal

Rick B. Johnson
Rick B. Johnson is the Managing Shareholder of RJ Law Firm, PC. For more than a decade, Rick has focused on counseling clients in the domestic and international financial markets. He is a recognized authority in the viatical and life settlement industries and is often called upon to provide advice on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions.
In addition to his corporate practice, Rick has considerable experience litigating high-stakes matters. Over the years, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of contentious cases, including wrongful death, insurance fraud, maritime law, business disputes, professional malpractice and employment discrimination.
Rick attended UCLA on an academic scholarship and earned his undergraduate degree in just three years. He went on to Chapman University School of Law, earning a Dean‘s Scholarship and numerous other awards. During his time at Chapman, Rick also clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Sacramento. After graduating law school at 23, Rick became one of the youngest attorneys admitted to practice law in California.
While not serving his clients, he enjoys frequent camping trips and other outdoor activities with his daughters as Chief of their Indian Princess tribe. Rick is active in his community and serves on the Board of a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization focused on strengthening father/daughter relationships. When not busy with professional, charitable and family activities, Rick likes to mountain bike and cheer for UCLA athletics.
